COVID19 virus is spread by droplets and aerosols, contact with contaminated surfaces and there is emerging evidence that it may be airborne. To ensure patient and staff safety we have supplemented our already extensive cleaning programme with the following measures.
We have introduced a PPE charge to cover the extra investment in PPE which we are changing between each patient. The FFP3 masks are the highest level we can purchase with 99.99% filtration. If and when the current requirements are downgraded we will obviously review this charge.
We regret the bathroom is no longer available for patient use.
Whilst the virus is in circulation we feel we have taken every sensible precaution to maintain patient safety. However, we respect that some patients may wish to continue to shield. If you are in this category we can provide advice over the phone or an appointment at the start of the session. We can offer home visits at an additional charge however the service we can provide in the home environment is limited and as we cannot guarantee the air quality and social distancing this would be a last resort.
We are seeing patients who have existing appointments and also working our way through the patients we have had to cancel. Due to the extra time between appointments the backlog might take some time to process.
